Why we baptize Where we baptize When we baptize Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:18-20 BAPTISM In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commanded His disciples to make new disciples by teaching them to obey His commands and by baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe following Jesus in water baptism is a crucial step to publicly displaying your new identity as a follower of Jesus. THE ANSWER OF A GOOD CONSCIENCE 1 Peter 3:21 teaches that baptism doesn't remove the "filth of the flesh." In other words, we believe baptism doesn't save someone. Instead, the act of baptism is a step of faith that declares you to be publicly and unashamedly identified with Christ through this symbol of His death, burial and resurrection. WHERE DO YOU BAPTIZE?
