Israel Tour 2027 We're praying and planning a trip to the land of Israel in March 2027. Pastor Jerry will be taking a group to explore Old and New Testament sites, stopping at places like Mount Carmel, Nazareth, Capernaum, the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea, cities of the Decapolis, Jerusalem and more. Applications will open September 13th, and spots are limited. You must complete your application and be accepted on the trip prior to making the first deposit to hold your spot. BAPTISM Baptism is a public celebration of your faith and a meaningful next step in your journey with Jesus. It’s how we show the world what God is doing in our hearts. Why we baptize Where we baptize When we baptize Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:18-20 BAPTISM In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commanded His disciples to make new disciples by teaching them to obey His commands and by baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe following Jesus in water baptism is a crucial step to publicly displaying your new identity as a follower of Jesus. THE ANSWER OF A GOOD CONSCIENCE 1 Peter 3:21 teaches that baptism doesn't remove the "filth of the flesh." In other words, we believe baptism doesn't save someone. Instead, the act of baptism is a step of faith that declares you to be publicly and unashamedly identified with Christ through this symbol of His death, burial and resurrection. WHERE DO YOU BAPTIZE? Are you ready to ask God for forgiveness and embark on the journey of life through Christ? Discover God's forgiveness with the help of our team here at Town Center Church. DISCOVER GOD'S FORGIVENESS God offers a fresh start to anyone who seeks it. Come discover the life-changing power of His mercy and love What is the Gospel? This word means “good news,” and it refers to God’s wonderful plan of salvation for humanity. The Gospel begins with God, the Creator of the universe and all things in it. God’s most prized creation, humanity, was made in His own image (Gen. 1:26-27). God created humans with a two-fold purpose: (1) to live for the glory of God, and (2) to enjoy a beautiful, thriving relationship with Him forever. THE FALL, SIN AND THE CURSE All of God’s original creation was perfect, but that was all ruined by the Fall, the event where mankind chose to sin by rebelling against God’s command. As a result, the world came under the Curse of sin and death and humanity’s perfect relationship with God was destroyed. As the Bible says, “the wages of sin is death” (Rom. 6:23a). All of humanity is guilty of sin (Rom. 3:23; 1 John 1:8, 10) and is therefore hopelessly lost (Eph. 2:1-3), as they face the wrath of God (John 3:36). SPIRITUAL DEATH AND SEPARATION God created us to be full of spiritual life but because of our sin we are spiritually dead. This death has separated us from the very God we were created to know and love, and this separation lasts not only on earth but into eternity in Hell after this life. Because of our sin, we owe a debt so great to God that we could never pay off nor earn our way to Heaven. JESUS'S LOVE FOR YOU But this is where the good news comes in. Jesus, God the Son, chose to pay our debt and to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins so that we can be saved. The Bible summarizes it this way: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). FORGIVENESS AND LIFE The death of Jesus on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins is the greatest expression of God’s love for humanity (Rom. 5:8). Thankfully, Jesus didn’t stay dead. Three days later He rose from the dead, proving that He is God and has the power to forgive us and give us everlasting life. WHAT DO I DO So, the big question: how can you be saved from your sin and have eternal life? God has made it so simple. You can never earn nor work your way to Heaven. Salvation is a free gift that God offers to you by His grace (Eph. 2:8-9). The Bible says you must repent of your sin (Luke 13:3; 2 Pet. 3:9; 1 John 1:9), trust in Jesus alone to save you (John 14:6; 1 Tim. 2:3-6), and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (Rom. 10:9). It’s as simple as that. THE PROMISE OF FORGIVENESS The one who turns from their sin to Jesus in faith will be saved and will be given eternal life and a restored relationship with God (John 17:3). If you'd like to repent of your sin and begin to follow Jesus, wherever you are right now, simply pray and and ask God! PRAYER OF REPENTANCE If you would like to experience God's forgiveness and have a relationship with Jesus, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart: “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.” CONGRATULATIONS Your decision to ask for God's forgiveness and follow Jesus is one that will change your whole life! WHO WE ARE Our church launched in March 2024 in Boca Raton, Florida. We desire to be a community that follows Jesus, studies the scriptures, that's filled with the Spirit, and loves our neighbors through truth, kindness and grace. Our Pastor Pastor Jerry Sander’s journey of faith began at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, where he first gave his life to the Lord. He continued to grow spiritually at Calvary Chapel Laguna Beach, and it was there that God opened the door for him to leave a career in construction and step into full-time ministry. He was ordained at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale and has been faithfully serving and pastoring in South Florida for over 23 years—18 of those as the lead pastor of Calvary Chapel Boca Raton. Jerry and his wife, Wendy, have been married for 28 years and are proud parents of two amazing daughters, Jisella and Jianna. His heart is to teach the Word, love people well, and see lives transformed by the grace of God. OUR TEAM John Maguire Assistant Pastor John wears many hats at our church, leading with a heart for people and a passion for service. He oversees our Hospitality, tckids, Sanctuary, and Security teams, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and cared for. He also oversees our Servants and Benevolence ministries, always ready to support and encourage those in need. Jonathan Macintyre Assistant Pastor Jonathan is passionate about discipling students with God's Word. He leads our Youth and Young Adults ministries, creating a space where young people can grow in their faith and build relationships. He also oversees our local outreaches and mission trips, helping our church make a Kingdom impact in the community and beyond. Wendy Sander . Wendy is the heartbeat behind the scenes, faithfully serving and supporting Pastor Jerry and our pastoral team. From organizing events to handling day-to-day administration (and so much more!), she helps keep everything running smoothly. With a heart for service and a gift for details, Wendy brings warmth, excellence and care to everything she does. Andrew Wooddell Assistant Pastor Andrew leads with creativity and heart, guiding our Worship, Creative, Production, and Communications teams to help share the transformational message of Jesus to those gathered in person and also those following online. He also oversees our Groups, Classes, and New Believers ministries—helping people get connected, grow in their faith, and take their next steps. OUR BELIEFS These are the essential doctrines that we believe. We pray that this statement of faith is helpful to you. This statement is not designed to be exhaustive, but clarifying, so we can walk in unity and love as Christ prayed in John 17. STATEMENT OF FAITH THE BIBLE We believe that the Bible is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:15-17) in its entirety, and is without error in the original autographs, and is the complete and final written revelation from God. (2 Peter 1:21) GOD We believe that there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) , who is eternal and immutable, and manifests Himself in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30) JESUS CHRIST We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah (John 1:36-42) , born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:34-35) , completely sinless (Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 7:26) , God in human flesh (John 1:1 & 14; John 20:28 ), the One who died on the cross for the sins of the world (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9) , was buried (John 19:40-42) , rose again from the dead on the third day (John 2:19; 1 Corinthians 15:4) , and ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven, where He now intercedes (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25) for us who believe in Him. (Mark 16:19; Acts 7:56; 1 Timothy 2:5) CHRIST'S RETURN We believe that Jesus Christ will return in the clouds to rapture His church before the tribulation that is coming upon the whole earth (John 14:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) , and that He will return to the earth in the Second Coming with His saints and all His holy angels to the earth at the end of the tribulation to set up His kingdom. (Matthew 24:29-31; Revelation 20:1-6) HUMAN NATURE We believe that all humanity is lost and born with a sinful nature, and can only be saved by a personal faith in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and not by any human merit or performance. (John 3:16-19; John 5:24; Romans 3:10; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5) HUMAN DESIGN We believe that all human beings are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) , and are therefore image-bearers, loved by God, possessing inherent value and worth, and God seeks to enjoy them and to have them enjoy Him in eternity. (John 3:16) SALVATION We believe that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15) and that by faith in Him alone (Eph 2:8-9; Acts 4:12) , man can be reconciled to God through His sacrifice. He calls all, no matter the severity of their sins, to repent of those sins (Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30-31) (1 John 1:9) , and to turn to Him in faith by believing and confessing Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9) by which He grants them forgiveness and eternal life. POWER OF DARKNESS We believe in a real and literal devil, called Satan, who, along with all his fallen angels, demons, and evil spirits, are destined to spend eternity in hell, and now seek to deceive the world, defeat the believers, and destroy the work of God, but can be resisted by believers, who are protected by God, the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Jesus Christ our Lord (Genesis 3:1; Job 1:6-12; Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 22:31-32; 1 John 4:4; Revelation 20:10) ETERNITY We believe that heaven is a real and literal place where the saved will dwell forever, and that hell is a literal place of torment where unbelievers will reside forever. (John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:11-15; Revelation 21:8; Revelation 22:5) BAPTISM We believe that after salvation, believers are to be baptized by water (Matthew 28:18-20) as a testimony to God, the Church and the spiritual and physical worlds that their identity is now in Christ through his death, burial and resurrection. Water baptism is not a requirement for salvation by grace through faith, but is a pledge of a good conscience to God. (1 Peter 3:21) THE LORD'S SUPPER We believe that believers (1 Corinthians 11:23-28; 2 Corinthians 13:5) are to partake in the Lord’s Supper, also known as communion. This symbolic meal is to be shared only by believers as a remembrance of the body and blood of Christ which ratified the New Covenant between God and man through Jesus. (Matthew 26:26-30) ASSURANCE OF SALVATION We believe that genuine believers are born again by the Holy Spirit of God, and are indwelt, baptized into the body of Christ, the true Church, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, and thus, unable to be separated from the love of Jesus Christ. (John 3:1-6; Acts 1:4-5; Romans 8:35-39; Ephesians 1:13-14) THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT We believe that all believers need to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a godly life and to be bold in our witness for the Lord. (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30; Ephesians 5:18) THE FRUIT AND GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT We believe in the spiritual unity of all genuine believers in the Lord Jesus Christ which is manifested by the use of spiritual gifts and evidenced by the fruit of the Holy Spirit’s presence through His love. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 4:8-12) ISRAEL We believe that Israel has a special place in God’s plan-past, present and future, and that all of the promises of God to Israel will be fulfilled both now and at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to establish His millennial reign. (Genesis 12:1-3; Romans 11:1-36) SEX AND PROCREATION We believe that the human race was created as male and female by a direct act of God to fully reveal His image and so that both male and female united produce life. (Genesis 1:26-28) GOD'S DIVINE PLAN OF COVENANT MARRIAGE We believe marriage was and is an institution ordained by God as a sacred covenantal union between a man and a woman, and that a marriage covenant is a reflection of the covenant between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33) . Scripture therefore limits sexual relations to monogamous, heterosexual marriage only. (Genesis 2:24) MARRIAGE VOWS AND SANCTITY We believe that the vows of a marriage covenant shall be entered into only where the proposed covenantal union is in compliance with the Word of God. As a result, any proposed marriage between men and women of the same sex is in violation of God’s Word and His sovereign design for marriage and is therefore sin. (Genesis 4:1; Matthew 19:4-6; Romans 1:21-27) CHILDREN BOTH BORN AND NOT YET BORN We believe that all children, including the unborn, are God’s image bearers, because Scripture designates unborn babies as children from the moment of conception by using the same terms for children, both when in the womb and after the moment of birth. Therefore unborn children possess inherent value and worth, and abortion in all its forms is morally unjustified and is the indefensible taking of human life; in short, abortion is murder.
