Baptism
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commanded His disciples to make new disciples by teaching them to obey His commands and by baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe following Jesus in water baptism is a crucial step to publicly displaying your new identity as a follower of Jesus.
The answer of a
good conscience
1 Peter 3:21 teaches that baptism doesn't remove the "filth of the flesh." In other words, we believe baptism doesn't save someone. Instead, the act of baptism is a step of faith that declares you to be publicly and unashamedly identified with Christ through this symbol of His death, burial and resurrection.
